Antifungals/Antimicrobials
Agents in the form of cream, ointment, lotion, spray or powder that may be topically applied to the skin. May also be formulated with ingredients that provide a moisture barrier. Indicated when a fungal, yeast or bacterial infection is diagnosed or strongly suspected. Judicious prophylactic use may be indicated if the risk of infection is increased due to invasive procedures, viral or metabolic diseases, chemotherapy or radiotherapy, prolonged corticosteroid therapy or environmental exposure (e.g., diarrhea). Contraindicated if the patient has any known allergies to the ingredients.
