Micronase
An oral blood-glucose-lowering drug of the sulfonylurea class. Indicated as an adjunct to diet to lower the blood glucose in patients with non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (type 2) whose hyperglycemia cannot be satisfactorily controlled by diet alone.
Size:
Tablet: 1(1/4)mg, 2(1/2)mg, 5mg.
Dosage:
Usual starting dose: 2.5mg to 5mg daily, administered with the first main meal. Usual maintenance dose: 1.25mg to 20mg daily, given as either a single dose or in divided doses.
Active Ingredients:
Glyburide.
